DiCE Molecules is focused on using novel DNA-programmed chemical synthesis in drug discovery. Our innovative platform unites the power of directed evolution with organic synthesis to identify and optimize hits against challenging pharmaceutical targets.

We are looking for an enthusiastic (Senior) Research Associate to join our team.  Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will perform key experiments to support cutting-edge small molecule drug discovery.  Responsibilities to include:

  • Performing key assays to support drug discovery using biochemistry, cell biology and/or biophysics
  • Generating high-quality, reproducible data by leveraging liquid handling, laboratory robotics and advanced data analysis tools
  • Identifying and developing new assays as the project requires
  • Communicating experimental results to project teams

The successful candidate will have:

  • A B.S. or M.S. in biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics or a related field;
  • 0-4 years of biotech industry experience (level to be commensurate with education and experience);
  • A drive to understand the biology of our targets, to inform assay design;
  • Experience in biochemical assays and mammalian cell culture;
  • Experience with protein interaction techniques (i.e. ELISA, BLI, SPR) would be beneficial;
  • Familiarity with liquid handling systems and automation would be an advantage;
  • Creativity, a high degree of independence, and enthusiasm to learn new skills.

  • Gaining a deep understanding of target biology, and utilizing this to develop new drug discovery assays;
  • developing and performing key assays to support drug discovery using state-of-the-art techniques including biochemistry, cell biology and/or biophysics;
  • interfacing with the project team to identify and act on project needs;
  • providing key insight to project teams.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics or a related field with the following:
    • S. with 6+ years of professional experience;
    • S. with 4+ years of professional experience;
    • D. with 0+ years of professional experience;
    • level to be commensurate with education and experience;
  • an ability to gain a deep understanding of target biology, to drive project success;
  • extensive experience in biochemical assays and cell-based assays in support of drug discovery;
  • extensive experience with protein interaction techniques (i.e. ELISA, BLI, SPR, etc.);
  • expertise with liquid handling systems and automation would be an advantage;
  • creativity, a high degree of independence, and enthusiasm to learn new skills.
