Job Description

DiCE Molecules is focused on the development of DNA-programmed chemical synthesis and its application to drug discovery. Our innovative platform unites the power of directed evolution with organic synthesis to identify and optimize hits against challenging pharmaceutical targets. We are a startup with ~ 25 employees located in Redwood City, California. Join our team and take part in supporting out team on scientists with your programming and analytical skills.

We seek a bioinformatics, chemoinformatics, or data science specialist with strong skills in Python and R programming to join our informatics team.

Responsibilities will include

  • preparing and testing code to merge, filter, and format large datasets in R or Python
  • running and monitoring jobs on a server
  • providing formatted data to our scientists in a time efficient manner

We are a biotech company where we design, produce and use DNA encoded chemical libraries to identify new chemical material for drug discovery. Familiarity with NGS sequencing data a plus, but not required.

 

Key Skills Required:

  • Proficient in R and/or Python scripting; experience in Perl is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with manipulation of large datasets
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with and influence others at all levels
  • Familiarity with NGS sequencing data a plus, but not required

 

Education and Experience

A B.S. degree is preferred but not required. All candidates will be evaluated rather on proficiency/experience in Python and R.

 

Job term

3 months minimum with a possible option to extend
